Heba 2009 is a Morellino di Scansano, D.O.C.G, produced by the “Fattoria di Magliano” (GR) and provided by the wine shop il Bacchino for the purchase online, in our showcase. The wide agricultural and wine estate, placed in the hearth of the Tuscan Maremma , is opened to the visitors as farm holidays , where you can enjoy the quality of the Tuscan products and the wonderful landscape of hills, with grape rows. Few kilometres after the Fattoria, there is the borgo of Magliano, called by the Romans Heba. Hence, the name of the red wine we propose for the purchase online: a D.O.C.G product that has inside all the quality of the agricultural production of Maremma and, in the same time, the story of the original landscape. The Morellino di Scansano is of ancient origin; the Etrurians had already produced it, before the Roman conquest (280 B.C), when the wine production and its merchandising had a strong impulse. Heba 2009 is produced with the 85% of Sangiovese grapes and the 15% of Syrah grapes. Every year the quantity of this excellent Morellino di Scansano is 140.000 bottles. The grape harvest of Heba takes place during the first decade of September and the gathering is handmade in the crate, like “the old fashioned times”. The wooden refinement lasts for 8 months in concrete barrels, the bottle one lasts for 6 months. The stabilisation of the product is natural, so the filtering is not necessary. The result is a steady rosso wine, ruby red coloured, with a fruity scent and hue of blueberry and raspberry, slightly spicy and a full bodied taste with tannins (alcohol rate: 13%).
